In its sealed state, Tenrai takes the form of a 5 ft long nodachi. The blade is a dull gray with the exception of the center which has a faint, white outline of a cloud. On the sides of the blade, faint markings resembling lightning bolts outline the cloud and are etched along the sides of the blade down to the handguard. The handguard is dull yellow and is hexogonal in shape. The hilt of the nodachi makes up 2 feet of the total sword (which includes the handguard which is 6 inches wide), dull yellow, and is made of tear drop patterns.

-Personality:
Tenrai was probably one of the most angry Zanpakutou spirirts around. He tends to be very angry, violent, and hateful to basically everyone, even Mizuken. He is strong willed and strict and therefore believes that people should be able to hold their own and calls Mizuken "weak" whenever is he called upon in battle. It is with this mindset that when Mizuken finally did obtain Tenrai, he began to train under the spirit and before he knew it, was by far the perfect picture of the picture the Gotei wanted to paint for the 11th Division.

However, when Mizuken left Soul Society and went to the Real World, Tenrai was forced to take on a different outlook and had to relax a bit. He still attempts to show his old ways around new people and Mizuken, when he is trying to get him to do something, but other than that he takes on the typical "old man of the neighborhood" and tries to help out whenever he can. He still does call Mizuken weak whenever he is called upon in battle, but it isn't as bad as what it used to be.

Tenrai takes on what was once Mizuken's leadership and strength attributes that turned him into the Captain he once was. His anger and short temper also represented how Mizuken was in his daily aspects of his life as well as in his battles.

-Shikai Ability:
After entering Shikai, Tenrai is encased in a thin layer of black lightning that is constantly sparking around the blade. The lightning covering the blade is capable of two things; increasing damage and causing mild paralysis to an area struck by the blade.

Shocking Damage/Paralysis
The most used of the two abilities given during Shikai, with every hit made, a string of lightning is soon followed behind. This will make it so that anytime an object is hit by the sword, the area hit will be paralyzed for a short period of time. The paralysis caused is not like normal paralysis as it still allows for the target to move, but the speed at which it would normally performed will be reduced. The time is based on rank as follows:

Captain: 1 post mildly paralyzed (Actions can still be performed, but their speed are reduced 25%)
Lt: 2 post mildly paralyzed (Actions can still be performed, but their speed are reduced 50%)
Seated Officer: 4 post paralyzed (Actions can still be performed, but their speed are reduced 75%)
Unseated: 6 post heavily paralyzed (Actions can still be performed, but their speed are reduced 85%)

*This ability cannot stack, but can be used once the paralysis is gone*
Ex: If you are a Captain and you are hit twice, you aren't affected for 2 posts, but only for one. However after that one post, if struck again, it will occur once more.

-Zanpakuto's full name: Destroy This Weakened World, Tenrai Raikou [Divine Thunder]

-Bankai Appearance: Upon activating Bankai, the electricity surging about the sword will move rapidly and then instantly cover the blade in a dark, black light. After the light covers the entire blade, the light will slowly crack and a large thunderous roar will occur along with a near blinding light. After the light fades, an electric blue light will emerge to cover both a new sword and Mizuken.

The new sword mostly resembles its sealed form as it returns back into a 6 foot long nodachi. The sword is composed of the blade, handguard, and hilt, but their are noticeable differences if one was to get close enough. Among some of the changes to the Banaki form, is that it has a blue blade. However, it is not actually a blade, but instead a highly condensed amount of lightning that is shaped into a similar manner to that of a blade. The blade is still connected to a handguard, that is all black in appearance, and hilt, that is all black with electric blue streaks. Also, Tenrai is still covered in the same wild lightning that covered it in Shikai, but now it is blue and covers the entire Nodachi along with Mizuken.

Now that the sword gains a new look, so did Mizuken. Upon entering Bankai, Mizuken's upper body is bare as he shirts have been violently ripped off. Now on his bare body, many tribal tattoos will cover him, but none as notieceable as his right arm. The one that wields the Zanpakutou. That arm isn't given a tribal tattoo, but instead a wierd dragon one. The dragon's mouth is at his hand where the sword is held and the body is engraved on the arm that continues up and stops at his shoulder. Besides looking extremely cool, this dragon tattoo does serve a purpose in the Zanpakutou's abilities.

-Bankai Ability:
A dramatic extension of Tenrai's Shikai form, Tenrai Raikou is probably one of the most dangerous lightning Zanpakutous around. With every swing of the sword, a wave of lightning is released from the sword. This affects enemies in a similar manner to that of its Shikai form, but due to being stronger, the effects are further increased as so:

Captain: 1 post paralyzed (Actions can still be performed, but their speed are reduced 45%)
Lt: 2 post paralyzed (Actions can still be performed, but their speed are reduced 70%)
Seated Officer: 4 post heavily paralyzed (Actions can still be performed, but their speed are reduced 90%)
Unseated: 6 post heavily paralyzed (Actions can still be performed, but their speed are reduced 95%)

However as the previous technique is quite impressive on its own, it is not Tenrai Raikou's true ability. Tenrai Raikou's true ability is its ability to slowly absorb nearby energy into his body and Zanpakutou and then release it into a quite devastating technique. Once Banaki is activated, the absorbing process begins. With every turn that passes, the tattoo on Mizuken's right arm (starting at the shoulder) is slowly colored 5% with a dark blue color. That means after 20 posts of fighting IC, the tattoo will be fully colored and the ability to use Tenrai's most destructive technique will be activated.

Name: Lightning Hell Cage
Ability: This ability instantly creates one hundred immense pillars of pure, untamed electricity that surrounds the area where the battle is taking place. The intent of this technique is to trap the opponent within the pillars and destroy them. The power of this technique is lethal enough to destroy the entire landscape of the battlefield and everyone caught in its vicinity, even Mizuken himself. Anyone that is hit with this technique will be forever scarred even after they recover. This is by far Mizuken's most powerful technique and therefore he will faint afterwards and if not taking into medical attention soon afterwards will probably die.
